World Poker Tour Championship at Hard Rock

Hi everyone! Last week my husband and I drove down to South Florida to see my daughter and granddaughters. The kids are 16 and a lot of fun to be around. We watched their soccer game, which I am happy to say they won, The next day my husband and I drove to the Hard Rock in Hollywood for the WPT Championship. I hadn't played in a poker tournament for awhile. I was pretty nervous. The field of players was pretty high. There were many professional players at this tournament. The first day I sat next to one player that has cashes for over $14 million in tournament play. I am happy to say I was able to play my A game and felt good at the table. I proceeded to take my chip stack from 50,000 chips up to 154,000. The next day we came back at noon for Day 2. This time I also got seated next to another pro. I was quickly building my stack. He looked at me and said "Your playing really well" I said thank you. After that comment I started thinking would he have said that if I was a man?I don't think so. What a male chuvinist comment ! I was pisssed and proceeded to take most of his chips. It was a nice way to get back at him. Even though he was a very nice guy I really think his comment was stupid and ignorant. I proceeded to get my stack up to just under 600,000 chips. When the money bubble hit later in the day I was still in the tournament. For those of you who are not familiar with poker we started out with 1894 players. Players bust out of the tournament when their opponents take all of their chips. The remaining 234 players get paid. As more players bust out the money that the remaining players get keeps going up. In this tournament the first place player would be getting just under $900,000. Not bad for a few days work and some fun! My husband and I both cashed in the tournament I took 221st place and Ted took 201st. Next tournament will be at Borgata in Atlantic City. My goal is to beat Ted.
