There is nothing like being on the back of a horse. I've been riding since I was 10 years old. I owned my first horse at 14. My dad took me to a horse auction in Pennsylvania and we bought my first horse. I named him Amish since we got him at an Amish auction. Unfortunately he was a little to green for me and I had to sell him. I wasnt an experienced rider and he needed someone that was. My second horse was named Judy. She was a little more my speed. At the time I was riding at a hunter jumper barn and we both were learning how to jump. Unfortunately my family moved from New York to Florida and I was unable to take her with me. So I was forced to sell her. Fast forward to 2015. My husband and I were living in Las Vegas and I got my 3rd horse Ellert. At 57 it was quite the shock to my body as you can image! My body did not respond to the exercise like it did at 16. But I loved every minute of the pain. Ellert is the sweetest boy. He is a Friesian from the Netherlands and absolutely gorgeous. I had the privilege of meeting his Sire (father) this summer in the Netherlands. He is a magnificent animal and I saw so many traits in him that Ellert has. If you don't know the breed think of the horse in the movie Zoro thats him. I love being his mama. The feeling you get when your horse comes running up to you is beyond words. My heart melts. Even though I know he just wants treats haha. He has lived with us in Nevada, Tennessee, Virginia and Florida. About 6 years ago we got him a companion. She is a beautiful little Mare named Kisses. She is the complete opposite of Ellert. She is a golden palomino pony. They used to be turnout buddies in Nevada together and when she went up for sale we bought her. The night they brought the trailer to our home Ellert and Kisses were screaming to each other. It was so amazing that they remembered each other. When she came off the trailer it was the coolest thing. How they greeted each other with so much love. They have been together ever since and are like an old married couple. If we seperate them they go nuts screaming.

Now that i'm 66 I don't have them at my property anymore. I board them at a equestrian center in St Augustine. I love the property, people and workers. My horses are taken care of and I don't have to worry if I go away. I know they are safe.
Until next time enjoy your life!
